Your research and practice insights have the power to guide the future of pharmacy, influencing the roles and responsibilities of pharmacists across Australia and beyond.

Submissions are sought that not only showcase the latest advancements in pharmaceutical sciences but also illuminate practical aspects of pharmacy practice. Whether it's ground-breaking research or innovative practice pearls, your contribution is crucial in establishing evidence-based foundations for the evolving role of pharmacists.

Students and early career pharmacists are encouraged to submit their work.  We would also value submissions from community pharmacists under the practice pearl category.

Categories of Submission

  • Research Papers: Present your original research that pushes the boundaries of pharmaceutical science. We welcome studies that offer new insights, challenge existing paradigms, and propose novel solutions to current challenges in pharmacy practice.

  • Practice Pearls: Share your practical experiences, case studies, or innovative approaches that have proven effective in your practice. These insights are invaluable in shaping practical, real-world applications of pharmacy knowledge.

Presentation Formats

Submissions may be selected for presentation as either an oral presentation or poster display. This is your chance to shine a spotlight on your work, engage with an audience of your peers, and receive feedback from experts in the field.

Mentor Program

In collaboration with APSA, we are pleased to offer advice and assistance to authors in the preparation of their abstracts and subsequent posters and oral presentations.  This mentorship is intended for practicing pharmacists without formal research training.  It is expected that higher degree by research students would receive support from their supervisors.

Prospective presenters are invited to contact APSA for support at any stage of the abstract and presentation process, including to gain advice on the suitability of a proposed presentation topic, guidance in the preparation of abstracts for submission, and input on presentation content and format.  Support can be requested up to 14 days prior to the corresponding deadline.
